Are their laws concerning motorcycle lights?

Motorcycle Accessories and Your State Law

As a motorcycle enthusiast you have probably seen the mountain of motorcycle accessory magazines, which allow you to choose from motorcycle equipment, as well as brand specific accessories, such as Harley Davidson gear. One of the most popular types of motorcycle accessories is adding additional lights to your bike. However, before you pick out new lights for your motorcycle, make sure that you research the laws in your state concerning motorcycle lights. This is because the laws concerning motorcycle auxiliary lights vary from state to state, so always make sure that you check with your state law before you purchase new motorcycle lights.

Also, you will want to check with your motorcycle manual to see what types of lights are compatible with your motorcycle's charging system. Failure to do so can end up with you stranded on the side of the road because your bike's charging system couldn't handle the strain your new HID (High-Intensity Discharge) lights are putting on it. Remember, some motorcycle accessories are made for a particular type of bike, so always check with your owners manual or visit your local motorcycle retailer to ensure your new accessories are compatible with your bike.
