March 21, 2008, Newsletter Issue #19: Happenings on Biker Rallies

Tip of the Week

Biker rallies can involve a variety of different things. There are two main types of rallies, both of which frequently occur on a local, national and international scale. The first of these is a rally where all of the participants gather together and ride as a group to a pre-determined location. Once there, they gather in a group and spend time talking and enjoying one other's company. The focus of this type of rally is on the ride, as well as the camaraderie that comes from riding with a group of people for an extended period of time. Once the bikers arrive at their destination, they can spend time talking about the ride and any other experiences or thoughts they had about the trip. The second kind of rally is the type where all of the participants gather together at one location and stay there. Most participants will ride in separately, though if bike clubs attend this type of rally, they may all travel as a group. The focus of this type of rally is talking to the other bikers about their experiences, their bikes, and any events that may take place during the rally. This kind of rally is perfect for people who are new to the motorcycling sport, since it gives them an opportunity to see bikers and their motorcycles up close and in person without a significant investment of time or money.
